By popular demand, these are available to anyone wants to try their luck doing this modification on their own. Or simply a spare for my current customers.
Replacement tool steel sear contact piece and 6-40, T10 Torx bolt for our modified MP5 carrier. Only fits the Armament modified carriers.
Installation: T10 Torx bit, 12 inch pounds (1 foot pound) maximum torque. 1 drop, blue (medium strength) thread-locker. Trip piece is only tightened to 10-12 INCH pounds, if you want to use thread locker, we recommend the one in the product pictures, ONE drop only.
If you’re going to try this modification yourself, we use 100% carbide tooling (endmill, drill and tap). These carriers are typically around 45-55 HRC, very hard metal. A typical HSS tap will not cut threads in these, you need a minimum of cobalt tooling and that will typically break or wear in one use. We also offer broken tap removal with our fiber laser, no joke.
