Description
Muzzle device pin and weld service. We’ve been doing pin and weld services for many years. This service is to permanently attach a muzzle device to your sub 16” barrel, bringing the overall barrel length up to the ATF minimum 16” requirement. This method is done by milling a .125 hole in the muzzle, inserting a steel pin through the muzzle device threads and partially into the barrels muzzle threads. The pin is then TIG welded in place. This is an approve ATF method for a “permanent” attachment. The benefits of this are being able to run the absolute shortest barrel possible while not breaking into the NFA/SBR criteria. Example; a normal 16” barreled AR with a typical suppressor mount will measure about 18.5” long overall, 16” barrel plus a 2.5” mount. If you permanently attached that same mount onto a 14.5” barrel (M4 accurate), the overall barrel length is about 16.5”. This means you have the absolute shortest barrel possible while not making an SBR. This can be done on a number of different types of firearms, not just the AR15/AR10 platforms. We also offer pin and weld removal services. Return shipping is NOT included and will be calculated upon completion.
